Description

Prepare the workspace and the substrate. For best results, tiles should be installed on a base that is stable, cured, and level.
Apply a Waterproofing Membrane/Coating prior to tile installation if a higher level of water resistance is required for the floor.
Install sufficient level markers, string lines, and spacers to ensure precision, straightness, and ease of work during the installation process.
Thoroughly clean the substrate to remove debris, dust, and oil, as these contaminants can significantly weaken the adhesion strength.
Lightly dampen the tiles with clean water before application to ensure optimal bonding.

Pour approximately 10 liters of clean water into a mixing bucket for every bag of ECO-480 (40 kg).
Gradually add the ECO-480 Tile Adhesive Tile on Tile powder into the water.
Stir the mixture until it reaches a smooth, lump-free consistency. Using an electric mixer is highly recommended for best results.

Apply the adhesive manually using a notched trowel as per standard practices.
The ideal adhesive bed thickness is ± 3 mm for maximum tile with large format 60×60 cm

Do not add other materials such as cement, sand, or additives to the mix.
Prepare only the necessary amount of mixture. Ensure the batch is used within a maximum of 60 minutes.
Apply the adhesive tile by tile (or in small sections) to prevent the mixture from drying before the tiles are set.
or large format tiles (60×60 cm or larger) or tiles with uneven back surfaces, apply a thin layer of adhesive to the back of the tile (back-buttering) to ensure 100% coverage.
Using a notched trowel prevents air from being trapped under the tile, ensuring a perfect bond and preventing tiles from lifting or popping.
